There's nothing better than taking off for your vacation and having your four-legged friends come along for the ride. Many of us take pains to make sure our canine companions can accompany us on our holidays and numerous vacation communities have become pet-friendly because of it.

In the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the most popular destinations to spend time with your canines are the fantastic beaches. Unfortunately, only some of the local beaches are pet-friendly and only a fraction of those allow pets year round.
