March Events in the Outer Banks

While the weather is still a little chilly in the Outer Banks, March is shaping up to be a month full of events. From food and wine, to kiteboarding and ballet, many things can be found to do that will appeal to all in the family. Below are a few events that you should not pass up if you are in the area during March.

Taste of the Beach. This annual event will be held March 5-8. This 3 day event will have some of the best food and wine this area offers. Local cuisine will be offered along with wine tasting, cooking classes and more. For more information please visit www.obxtasteofthebeach.com .

For those looking to try a new sport or just want to see some daredevils carve up the water, Real Kiteboarding is hosting some very exciting events. First up is a St. Patrick’s Day season kick off party at Mojo’s Sunset Café on March 17th. Enjoy great food, drink and live music as you take in the view from the patio deck. Starting March 24, Real Kiteboarding will be hosting weekly events for every ability of rider. Classes will be held with a new topic each week. Pros will also be in attendance for discussions and autograph sessions. For those who want to demo the newest gear, you will want to check out Real Demo Daze on March 28th. You will be able to test out the latest gear and have your questions answered by the manufacturers of the equipment. For others who might enjoy ballet, the First Flight High School Auditorium will host some of the finest ballet dancers on March 31st. The Dare County Arts Council will be presenting American Masterpieces, which features 3 world renowned choreographers.
